SUBJECT: Grievance Policy
TO: Clients/Students of Disco Sock Productions, LLC
FROM: William J. Koehler, PhD, LCSW
Effective communication is vital to the mission of Disco Sock Productions and to the success of our clients/students. This grievance procedure’s purpose is to secure a fair resolution to refund requests, complaints about course content, speakers, facilities, nonreceipt of certificates, and other miscellaneous occurrences. This policy intends to make certain that Disco Sock Productions will offer whatever assistance we can regarding grievances and provide access to the Instructors, Staff and Founder, for all clients/students.
Disco Sock Productions Grievance Procedure
*Note: The Social Work Consultant (SWC) for Disco Sock Productions, LLC (currently filled by Kriss Jarecki, LCSW) will be involved in every phase of all grievances unless the SWC is directly part of the grievance in a way which would hinder fair handling of said grievance.
1. Students/Clients (herein, ‘Individual’) are encouraged to first attempt to address issues directly with their Instructor (herein, DSP Staff) in writing within 15 business days of the occurrence warranting a complaint (if possible).
2. If the Individual is not comfortable addressing the issue directly or is not satisfied with the outcome of their communication with the DSP Staff, they are encouraged to report their grievance to the Founder (William Koehler, PhD, LCSW) (wkoehler@discosock.com) or the Social Work Consultant (Kriss Jarecki, LCSW)* (support@discosock.com) .
3. The Individual must provide a written account of the issue. The written account will be received and reviewed by the Founder, and/or Social Work Consultant*, and/or (in the case where the grievance involves the Founder and Social Work Consultant) an advisory committee (to be selected from the following - Paige Bosnyak, LCSW, Nicole Kuneman, LCSW, Shatoia Carroll, LCSW, and Angel Darling-Eller, LCSW) .
4. The Individual’s written account will be addressed within 3 business days of filing the complaint. If the issues cannot be resolved through mediation, refund, or reassignment, then a meeting may be scheduled with the Individual, the Founder and/or the Social Work Consultant, and/or advisory committee.
5. After the meeting, the grievance will be assessed and the Individual will be offered proposed solutions within 3 business days.
6. If the issue is still unresolved, the Individual will receive a full refund for the course/product within 30 days. They may also contact Zenler (the LMS provider) support.
The information for DSP Social Work Consultant, DSP Founder, and Zenler support, are provided below. All grievances will be tracked by DSP and a record of how the issue(s) was resolved. The ASWB may request this record at any time.
